Net Terms InterNIC InterNIC is the organization responsible for registering and maintaining the .com, .edu, .gov, .net and .org domain names on the World Wide Web. If you are creating (or already have) a website that you would like to have its own domain name, you must register it with InterNIC. You can usually fill out the registration through your server space provider. In addition to the domain names administered by InterNIC, geographically identified domains in the United States, such as those for cities and towns, are maintained by US Domain Name Registration Services. Other countries such as Mexico and Canada, as well as other continents, have their own registering services. For more information, you can access InterNIC at http://rs.internic.net.
